‘Korea Science Festival’ hold at Daejeon
from April 27 to 30

‘2023 Korea Science Festival’, Korea’s representative science festival, is being held at Daejeon in April. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Daedeok R&D Special District in Daejeon, the birthplace of Korea's cutting-edge technology, it has been decided to present the history and development process of Korea's science and technology in Daejeon, the city of science.

The ‘Korea Science Festival’, which will be held for the 27th time this year, will take place for four days from April 27 to 30 at the Daejeon Expo Plaza and around the Expo Science Park. With the theme of “Science is ∞,” it will be implemented as a science festival where you can meet the infinite possibilities where cities and life coexist and connect to the future through science and technology.

At this festival, various program linked with science, culture, and art infrastructure of Daejeon is prepared. It is held as a festival that combines science technology and culture with not only e-Sports Competition, Science Love Matching Festival, Daejeon Citizen Observatory Star Festival, Daejeon Museum of Art Baik Nam Jun 'Fractal Turtle Ship', and Daedeok Innopolis Tour, but also with Korea science and technology achievement exhibition, Daedeok Innopolis 50th anniversary special exhibition, science lecture/performance, drone lighting show, night market, and many other.

Daejeon, called the ‘capital of science’, is where government-funded research institutes and various research institutes are located, so various scientific contents linked to culture and arts are operated throughout the year. Along with the 'Daejeon Science Festival' held at Daejeon every October, this 'Korea Science Festival' held at Daejeon for the first time in 16 years in April, the month of science, is expected to attract many visitors, including family tourists who love science. Through this festival, it is expected that Daejeon, the capital of science, will be widely publicized.
