Global Pioneer in Digital Healthcare: SELVAS Healthcare

Established in 1993, SELVAS Healthcare has consistently been at the forefront of the digital healthcare and medical device industry. Its pioneering efforts have been primarily marked by its body composition analyzers and electronic blood pressure monitors for hospitals, thereby setting new standards in the domestic and international medical device landscapes. In 2015, a transformative merger took place with HIMS International, the leading producer of braille information terminals for the visually impaired, prompting a rebrand to SELVAS Healthcare in 2016.

Operating under two distinct business divisions, SELVAS Healthcare continues to push boundaries. Medical device brand ACCUNIQ and Information and Communication Assistive Device brand HIMS stand out, owing to their innovative merger of existing hardware development capabilities with the software and artificial intelligence (AI) data processing prowess of parent company SELVAS AI. This synergy has sparked a series of groundbreaking technological advancements and products.

ACCUNIQ, embodying the fusion of body composition analysis with cutting-edge IT, is making significant inroads into the medical market and global fitness chains.

With a growing global prevalence of obesity, an increasing number of individuals are taking control of their health by utilizing body composition analysis. Such an analyzer, a noteworthy medical device, gauges the amount of water, muscle mass, and fat in the body via the resistance value (impedance) generated when a minute current flows through the body.

The ACCUNIQ BC-380 and BC-720, developed by SELVAS Healthcare, have fortified the precision of body composition measurements, courtesy of their high correlation with DEXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) equipment at the US-based IHT Clinical Trial Center. These devices have achieved a monumental milestone, with sales exceeding 10 billion won, taking inspiration from the EV-360 model of Australia's Evolt company. Moreover, for the first time in the industry, it has incorporated the ACCUNIQ Remote Support program, enabling global users to remotely access SELVAS Healthcare's dedicated CS department for easy device inspection and recovery services.
In particular, SELVAS Healthcare's body composition analyzers and blood pressure monitors produce valuable data which is harnessed by the parent company, SELVAS AI. This data is analyzed and transformed into significant big-data insights, driving the creation of personalized exercise programs and dietary guidelines, optimally tailored to individual health conditions.
