When you want to enjoy complete relaxation in nature amid the hustle and bustle of daily life, the National Daejeon Forest Experience Center provides the answer.
The National Center For Forest Education (located in Supchewon-ro, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon), a representative Korea Forest Welfare Institute in the central region, offers various forest experience and forest education programs to help anyone freely improve their physical and mental health through the forest.
It features the nation's only deck road accessible by elevator, and provides various forest trails, seminar rooms, accommodation, and dining spaces so that anyone can freely experience the forest.
Additionally, the National Daejeon Forest Experience Center will operate a stay-type forest experience program called “Forest Stroll Following the Starlight (Star Stroll)” from June to October in collaboration with the Daejeon Tourism Organization, continuing from last year. Star Stroll is a healing program where participants spend an entire day in the forest, communicating with nature away from the city. Through emotional nighttime forest experiences such as forest insect exploration, traditional lantern making, and watching the Yunsul-geori fountain show, visitors can experience Daejeon's special nights in a new way.
This year, the experience is further enriched with the introduction of “Dream Stay”—accommodations themed after the beloved Kkumssi Family characters(Daejeon city’s mascot), adding a playful and cozy touch to the stay.
Furthermore, special sessions are planned for underprivileged members of the community, continuing the program’s mission of inclusivity and warm connection with local residents.
